Trollbeads products are made from sterling silver and then specially treated to enhance their detail and give them their characteristic finish. Like all sterling silver, the beads and chain may tarnish over time. This is a natural process. We recommend cleaning your Trollbeads products with a silver polishing cloth or a rotary tumbler (available at most authorized retailers). Do not use cleaning solution, including liquid silver polish, as it will remove the oxidation of the beads or chain. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners.
Do not wear your Trollbeads in the shower, sauna, hot tub, swimming pool, or ocean. They may contain chemicals (such as chlorine and bromine) or minerals that will accelerate the tarnishing process. Exposure to soap, body lotions, hairspray, perfumes, and makeup may also affect the finish of your jewelry. Avoid wearing your silver jewelry when using household cleaning products. To remove light dirt and fingerprints from your Trollbeads product, add a small amount of mild liquid dish soap to lukewarm water, scrub with a soft brush and rinse thoroughly in clean water.
